Elegy for Piano Quartet – World Premiere

Brahms

Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, Op. 25

Violist and composer, Nokuthula Ngwenyama joins pianist Ran Dank and Artistic Directors, Jaime Laredo & Sharon Robinson to perform the notable, world premiere of Elegy. Also featured on this program is the Piano Quartet by Brahms that helped to establish him as the “heir of Beethoven” with its rousing Hungarian-inspired finale.

Due to illness, Joseph Kalichstein is unable to perform this weekend. We welcome pianist Ran Dank, who has graciously agreed to step in for these performances. The opening work on this program has also changed as a result to Mozart’s Piano Quartet, K. 493.
Masks are required to be worn while attending these performances.
