This program celebrates the iconic music of Bach, heard in fresh and surprising arrangements performed by principals of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Two shorter, vibrant works featuring the oboe and strings open the concert, Bach’s Arioso and Benjamin Britten’s Phantasy Quartet. The program culminates in the Goldberg Variations, Bach’s beloved keyboard work reimagined for string trio, revealing the transcendent beauty of this masterpiece.
