2016-2017 SEASON SCHEDULE
Linton Chamber Music’s extraordinary 2016-17 season features a wonderful balance of chamber music works to treasure and discover performed by artists both familiar and new. Highlights include a world-premiere by Ellen Taaffe Zwilich in celebration of the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio’s 40th Anniversary, the return of Anne-Marie McDermott, Ida Kavafian, Steven Tenenbom, and Peter Wiley performing as Opus One, the Linton debuts of the CSO Music Director, Louis Langreé and mezzo-soprano, Kelley O’Connor, beloved string quintets by Brahms and Dvořák, and return of clarinetist Anthony McGill with the McGill/McHale Trio. This is a season not to be missed.

Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Music Director Louis Langrée makes his Linton Chamber Music debut for a special performance of French songs and Brahms lieder with Grammy Award-Winning, mezzo-soprano Kelley O’Connor. Don’t miss a truly unique concert of art songs performed in Linton’s beautiful, intimate setting. .

Join us for a special Sunday-only performance celebrating the sounds and colors of Spain and France through works written for piano quartet. Violinist Maria Bachmann, violist Hsin-Yun Huang, cellist Edward Arron, and pianist Adam Neiman showcase a program of works by Turina, Chausson, and Fauré.
Introducing the McGill/McHale Trio

Clarinetist Anthony McGill returns to Linton with flutist & brother Demarre McGill, and pianist Michael McHale, as the McGill/McHale Trio makes its Cincinnati debut in a program of works by Poulenc, Prokofiev, Saint-Saëns, Bartók, and Dvořák. Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster, Timothy Lees adds his artistry to this dynamic program as well.

The distinguished and internationally-acclaimed Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio returns to the Linton Chamber Music stage in celebration of their 40th anniversary performing trios by Shostakovich, Schubert, and the world-premiere of Ellen Taaffe Zwilich’s Pas de Trois.

Back by popular demand Opus One returns to perform a program that features both the classics and the new. Pianist Anne-Marie McDermott, violinist Ida Kavafian, violist Steven Tenenbom, and cellist Peter Wiley perform quartets by Beethoven, Dvořák, and Roberto Sierra’s Fuego de ángel for Violin, Viola, Cello, & Piano.
