October 5, 2008 -  4:00 p.m

Canadian pianist Jon Kimura Parker, violist Aloysia Friedmann, CSO principal cellist Eric Kim and his brother, violinist Benny Kim will perform the Mozart Piano Quartet in G minor and Brahms Piano Quartet in A major. Eric Kim will join Jon Kimura Parker to play the Schumann Adagio and Allegro.

       


 November 2, 2008 - 4:00 p.m.

        
Oboist Liang Wang, principal oboist of the New York Philharmonic and former principal oboe of the CSO returns to play Mozart, Vivaldi and Dvorak with CSO concertmaster Timothy Lees, CSO principals Randy Bowman, flute, Richie Hawley, clarinet, William Winstead, bassoon, Elizabeth Freimuth, French horn and Owen Lee, bass.  On the program will be a Vivaldi Trio Sonata, the Mozart Quartet for Oboe and Strings, and the Dvorak Serenade for Winds.

             


 December 14, 2008 - 4:00 p.m.


Violinist Gil Shaham and pianist Orli Shaham, perform Brahms Horn Trio with John Zirbel, principal horn of the Montreal Symphony.

                             



 February 1, 2009 - 4:00 p.m.

Violinist Jaime Laredo and cellist Sharon Robinson team up with violinist Jennifer Koh and pianist Benjamin Hochman to perform Madrigals for Violin and Viola by Martinu, the Rachmaninoff Cello Sonata in G minor, and the Quartet for Piano and Strings by Faure.

 

 


 March 8, 2009 - 4:00 p.m.

Pianist Yefim Bronfman joins Anthony McGill, principal clarinet of the Metropolitan Opera and violinist Ida Kavafian performing Contrasts for Violin, Clarinet, and Piano by Bela Bartok and other works to be announced.

                      

May 3, 2009 - 4:00 p.m.

Pianists Anne-Marie McDermott and Michael Chertock team up to play works for piano four hands.   Alexander Kerr, former concertmaster of the CSO and  the Amsterdam Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and Timothy Lees, CSO Concertmaster team up to play duos for two violins and piano with Michael Chertock.   The program will conclude with a Quintet for Piano and Strings with Anne-Marie McDermott.
